We’re excited to share that we’re adding 12 new 3K DOE seats for the 2026–2027 school year, opening a second classroom this September and welcoming even more Brooklyn Heights families into our growing community.
Many families choose to enroll early, giving their child time to grow with our community before their 3K years. Priority 3K placement goes to currently enrolled families, making our infant, toddler, and preschool programs a natural path toward securing your child’s future spot.
Kinder Prep's Universal 3K DOE program runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:20 PM, and provides children with a warm early childhood experience in bright, naturally lit classrooms. Throughout the DOE school day, children enjoy Circle Time, group learning activities, hands-on exploration, nutritious meals, quiet time, and plenty of opportunities for social and emotional growth.

Our approach blends Montessori principles, Creative Curriculum, and specialist-led Enrichment classes into a cohesive experience designed to support every child academically, socially, and emotionally. Our certified, nurturing educators provide individualized attention while fostering the kind of warm, consistent environment that helps young learners truly thrive.
The heart of the Kinder Prep experience for 3 year olds is our Extended Day Program, a premium, all-inclusive day designed to give children everything they need to grow, explore, and shine.

Outdoor Exploration Children head out to Brooklyn Bridge Park for fresh air, movement, and hands-on time in nature, right in one of Brooklyn's most beautiful outdoor spaces.
Montessori-Inspired Learning Afternoons are filled with Montessori activities and hands-on learning centers that encourage independence, curiosity, and self-directed discovery.
Specialist-Led Enrichment Classes This is where Kinder Prep truly stands apart. Every child in the Extended Day Program participates in our full suite of Enrichment classes, each taught by a specialist in their field:

Nutritious Meals and Snacks, Every Day Children receive all meals and snacks throughout the day, thoughtfully prepared to fuel growing bodies and minds. Families never have to think about packing food.
Consistent Routines, Attentive Educators A predictable, nurturing daily rhythm helps children feel secure and confident. Our teachers are attentive, warm, and always present to provide individualized support.
Your Calendar, Not the DOE's Extended Day families follow Kinder Prep's school calendar rather than the DOE calendar, so children can attend on many days when public schools are closed. No scrambling for coverage on off days.
