Specialist-Led Enrichment

Led by specialists from My Baby Fingers, our Music & Sign Language program combines the joy of music with the power of American Sign Language (ASL) to support early communication and language development. Through songs, movement, rhythm, and interactive play, children are introduced to real ASL vocabulary in an engaging, age-appropriate environment rooted in research and evidence-based early childhood practices. For our youngest learners, sign language provides a meaningful way to communicate with caregivers before spoken language fully develops, helping reduce frustration while building confidence and connection. Led by National Chess Master Vladimir Bugayev and his team, our Chess enrichment program introduces children to the game through engaging, age-appropriate instruction designed specifically for young learners. Using interactive lessons, puzzles, and guided play, children develop concentration, strategic thinking, memory, patience, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills while learning the fundamentals of chess in a fun and encouraging environment. Often recognized as one of the most intellectually enriching activities for children, chess strengthens both analytical and creative thinking, helping exercise both sides of the brain simultaneously. As children progress, they learn to plan ahead, evaluate options, make thoughtful decisions, and build resilience through practice and friendly competition.

Led by Kinder Prep's dance professionals, our Dance enrichment program introduces children to the joy of movement through music, imagination, and creative expression. Each class is thoughtfully designed to help children develop rhythm, coordination, balance, flexibility, body awareness, and gross motor skills while building confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Through engaging activities and age-appropriate choreography, children strengthen listening skills, spatial awareness, and teamwork. Led by National Chess Master Vladimir Bugayev and his team, our Abacus Mental Math program introduces children to mathematics through engaging, hands-on learning with the traditional abacus. As children manipulate the beads to solve problems, they develop a strong understanding of number sense, addition, subtraction, sequencing, and mathematical reasoning while building confidence through active discovery. Beyond early arithmetic, the program strengthens concentration, memory, logical thinking, problem-solving, visualization, and mental agility. As their skills progress, children begin performing calculations mentally, exercising both analytical and creative thinking while developing valuable executive functioning skills such as focus, accuracy, and perseverance. Led by Dr. Marvel Science, our Science Lab program introduces children to the wonders of science through exciting, hands-on experiments and interactive exploration. Led by specialists from Little Warrior Soccer, our Soccer enrichment program introduces children to the fundamentals of the game through fun, age-appropriate instruction, active play, and engaging outdoor experiences. Whether practicing in our outdoor learning spaces or exploring Brooklyn's beautiful parks, children develop coordination, balance, agility, and foundational soccer skills while building confidence through movement. Our Cooking enrichment program introduces children to the joy of preparing food through hands-on cooking experiences designed specifically for young learners. Each class encourages children to explore new ingredients, practice measuring, mixing, pouring, and preparing simple recipes while building confidence, independence, and practical life skills. Cooking naturally integrates early concepts in mathematics and science as children count, measure, observe, compare, and discover how ingredients change through different cooking processes. Along the way, they strengthen fine motor skills, sequencing, problem-solving, creativity, and healthy eating habits. Rooted in our Montessori-inspired philosophy of learning through experience, this enrichment transforms everyday cooking into a meaningful opportunity for exploration, discovery, and lifelong learning.

Our Spanish Enrichment class introduces children to the Spanish language through songs, stories, movement, games, interactive activities, and everyday conversation in a fun, engaging environment. Led by the talented performers of Puppetsburg, our children enjoy immersive, interactive theatrical experiences that combine storytelling, music, movement, handmade puppets, bubbles, and imaginative play. Each performance follows Clementine, Puppetsburg's beloved protagonist, on a brand-new adventure, with every show featuring a unique theme, engaging characters, and hands-on participation that transforms children from audience members into active participants. Beyond the excitement and laughter, Puppetsburg nurtures creativity, language development, imagination, communication, and social-emotional growth through the magic of live theater. Children sing, dance, solve problems alongside the characters, and even participate in themed dress-up experiences that bring each story to life.
